Hey there, and welcome 🤍
My name is Lois. I was born and raised in Germany, with roots in Ghana, and I’m currently living in the Netherlands.
For the longest time, I struggled with the idea of starting a blog. I kept asking myself: Why another blog? What could I possibly add? That question made me hesitate, delay, and even stop writing at times. But the nudge to share never really left me.
And over time, I realised something:
I’m not here because I have all the answers or because I need to fix a certain narrative. I’m here because I’ve come to know Jesus in a personal way, and I want to share what that means to me.
For me, He is my Saviour, the One who changed my life for the better, and a good Father who loves deeply and consistently and meets me daily with patience and grace. Honestly, I don’t know where I would be without Him.
Writing has always been a part of my life. From a young age, I was drawn to words, to their ability to comfort, to spark hope, make sense of life, and to give language to things we don’t always understand. Writing became a safe place for me, a way to process life, faith, and everything in between. And it still is.
So this blog is my way of saying yes: to sharing, to being honest, and to letting others in on that journey.
Here, you’ll find stories from the heart and a lot of poetry. Pieces about my relationship with God, God in general, faith, the things I go through, what I’m learning, and what’s on my heart. Not polished or perfect, but real.
The why behind all this is simple:
to share who God is to me.
What He did, does and continues to do.
And who we get to be in Him.
To write about the Father I’ve come to know.
One that feels real, personal, and close.
One that reminds you that you are seen, known, and deeply loved.
I pray that you feel loved, encouraged, seen, and reminded that He’s with you always, while you have a read through posts or poetry. Maybe there is even something you will resonate with. If you’d like to share your thoughts, stories, or reflections, I’d love to hear from you in the comments.
Thank you for being here. I’m really grateful our paths have crossed.
Love you
Lois
